Linzi G School of Dance was founded in 2010 by Principal Lindsey Grant (now Vickers). Lindsey started teaching adult tap sessions whilst she was completing her teacher training with the IDTA and NATD. On completion of her B.A. Hons Degree in Dance in September 2013, Lindsey expanded her school to include lessons for children, and the school has extensively grown over the years. Linzi G School of Dance offers over 30 weekly lessons in Ballet, Tap, Freestyle, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Adult DanceFit, and they currently hold a 100% Pass rate for their internationally recognised IDTA and NATD examinations.

 

Many of Lindsey's students have been successful in auditioning for Dance and Musical Theatre productions within the West Midlands as well as successfully furthering their studies at prestigious London Performing Arts Schools and University Courses across the country. Students have also previously danced alongside BBC's Strictly Come Dancing's Pasha Kovalev in his UK touring productions at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. Linzi G School of Dance pride ourselves on offering excellent training and discipline within all subjects to ensure we are providing our pupils with the best opportunities to become our 'Dance Stars' of the future.

 

As well as dancing for fun and fitness, Lindsey's students look forward to taking part in annual Dance Displays and Community Performances. Pupils have performed as part of Wolverhampton ArtsFest in the Mander Centre, Heath Town International Fun Days, Cure Leukemia event in the City Centre organised by Wolverhampton Wanderers and have been regular entertainment for The Mount Hotel's Christmas Markets in Tettenhall. They have also been on various Theatre trips and taken part in workshops with cast members from Disney's 'The Lion King,' 'Mamma Mia,' '42nd Street' and 'School of Rock.'

 

Over the past 9 years Linzi G School of Dance have fundraised in the excess of £12,000 from the proceeds of their annual dance shows and fundraising events. This money has been donated to charities such as Macmillan, Compton Care, New Cross Hospital Neonatal ward, Alzheimer's UK, Cure Leukemia, NHS, The Royal British Legion and Children in Need. We have also fundraised for St Gregory's Church in Wolverhampton where we rehearse in order to renovate the facilities for our dancers and other hall users.
